Epic film fans won’t want to miss this film. Starring Reg Park, one of the brawniest men ever known to portray Hercules. The film involves the story of a rather mythic hero who has been summoned to the jungle city of Zimba in order to free a large number of people who have been enslaved by the evil queen Fazira. She needs them in order to dig gold from King Solomon’s legendary gold mines.
After Maciste actually arrives in the city he is overcome by the queen’s personal guard and subsequently bewitched through the use of an ankle bracelet that turns out to be magical. This forces him to lose his free will and he is relegated to servitude in the mines. Eventually he is freed from his state of bewitchment and is able to extract revenge on the queen as well as her co-conspirators.
Gladiator film fans will be delighted with this film as it is very probably one of the best examples of this genre in existence. Filled with breathtaking nature shots that were taken on location in South Africa, the film entertains as well as delights.

In perhaps one of the best costume piece films of its time, viewers will enjoy the retelling of the legend of Jason as he searches for the famous golden fleece in the uncharted sea. We revisit the wonderful, enduring myth of the fabled Golden Fleece that is said to be located in the Colchis (an ancient region on the Black Sea south of the Caucasus Mountains). Based on the poem by the Greek poet Apolonio of Rodas, this is a modern retelling that is thoroughly enjoyable.
King Jason sets the tone for the film by making an effort to placate the angry gods who have allowed Thessaly to be taken over by barbarian invaders and ravaged by natural disasters. He takes his Argonauts and sets out on a search for the fabled Golden Fleece. Meanwhile, back home his regent nephew turns out to be a scheming despot who only wants to take over the kingdom and the queen.
As Jason struggles to retrieve the magical charm that is housed in the distant land of Colchis and bring it back to the city of Iolcho. He and his crew must make it through a number of adventures, including a confrontation with a rather heinous witch on an island of women as well as several others in which they face almost certain death.
Against a backdrop of spectacular music contributed by Carlo Rustichelli, superbly handled costumes and sets and fantastic choreography this is a film that will be fun for the entire family.

Review
In this highly entertaining film, a rebel leader returns to his home city for a final show down with the evil king he has been battling. Unfortunately, he finds himself distracted by and even attracted to the king’s beautiful niece. This sets the scene for some very interesting plot twists and turns.
The entire film is extremely tense, leaving you guessing throughout the film. Even though there are many extremely tense moments throughout the film, the ending takes place quite satisfactorily. Character portrayals are also handled quite well, leading you to really experience the predicaments in which the characters find themselves.
The scenery, music, plot and characterization are all top-notch in this film that is sure to leave you guessing until the very end. All in all, this is a film you will love to pull out of your collection time and time again. A rare movie, that is worth seeing with plenty of exciting adventure, exciting dialogue and excellent acting complimenting a well crafted storyline.

Review
Leon Isaac Kennedy portrays Dough Russell, an American who, along with two of his Vietnam War buddies, has had the audacity to steal a shipment of gold in the Philippines. Unfortunately, his ‘buddies’ just slit his throat and threw him overboard. Little to their knowledge, however, he manages to wash ashore and lands on an island that has been inhabited by two Japanese soldiers that have been stranded there since the end of World War II. The soldiers nurse him back to health and along the way teach him martial arts as well as the art of the samurai.
His treacherous friends arrive back in the U.S. Once there, they use the stolen goods to make their way into Los Angeles and bully their way into mafia controlled territory. Money and murder aren’t the only things on the minds of these newly turned mobsters. One of the pals, Maghee, has set his sights on Russell’s wife Maria. Maria is portrayed by Jayne Kennedy, the real life wife of Leon at the time. Maria is a lounge singer. She soon discovers that she can’t get a job anywhere because Maghee has had her blackballed all over Los Angeles in a smarmy effort to have her come crawling to him.
Russell, meanwhile, has made his way back to the States by hitching a ride on a boat. (You didn't expect him to swim, did you?). With sword in hand he has begun searching for his wife and son. During his search he discovers that his treacherous friends have now become the top men in town. Bent on revenge, he begins to slaughter their cohorts and works his way up the food chain, so to speak. Lots of action ensues as he continues his quest to extract revenge and reclaim his wife and son.
With plenty of good location shots, including numerous Pacific island scenes along with a mix of street scenes in Mexico as well as Los Angeles, this is a film that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. If you like action, you won’t be disappointed in the least with this film. The main lead, Leon Isaac Kennedy, exhibits true star quality. Late 1970’s, early 1980’s style, he's always tough but gentle enough to always have a smile for the ladies. There is something for everyone in this film.
