Review
In this highly enjoyable
martial arts film, two young girls are rescued by Shaolin monks after
their entire families were executed upon orders of the king. They are
then trained in the fighting art of Shaolin. After they come of age
they make the decision to extract revenge against the king who ordered
the deaths of their families. Two men also trained in Shaolin are sent
to assist them.
Even with the additional help, it certainly isn't easy for the girls
and their helpers to obtain revenge against the king because he has a
formidable guard of highly skilled Kung-Fu experts. In addition, his
castle is filled with traps to protect him. To top it all off, he is
served by two Kung-fu bodyguards who appear to be completely
unstoppable.
This film delivers a lot of exciting fighting scenes including several
scenes in which the female leads demonstrate their skill. The storyline
is extremely easy to follow and overall this film is very enjoyable.

Review
This film could very well be
the high mark of all martial arts films. A rousing kung-fu epic, this
film boasts a number of amazing fight scenes. The plot is highly
interesting and fits the choreography displayed in the film quite well.
This is a film that is very enjoyable overall and quite remarkable in
both subject matter and choreography.
There is a definite sense of reverence which is displayed for both the
traditions and the history of the Shaolin Temple. The entire subject
matter of the film is handled very well in order to produce a film that
is interesting, enjoyable, and reverent.
If you are an admirer of the Shaolin culture, this is certainly a film
which should not be missed. When you view this film you will definitely
experience a palpable sense of nostalgia. This could very well become
one of those films you add to your collection and view time and time
again.

Starring Li Chung Chien (Gen)
and Meng Fei, this is a film that is certain to strike a chord with
martial arts fans. Two anti-Qing rebels make a habit of rescuing
damsels in distress. The film begins with a boat fight as thugs attempt
to board the boat that is carrying a lovely lady. The two heroes are
fishing nearby and immediately leap into the boat and fight off the
thugs. They are later captured and then recruited in an effort to go
after the Dragon Gang.
There are numerous fight scenes throughout this film. The plot is also
quite interesting including some villains who are surprisingly good
including a corrupt official as well as the beautiful female lead of
the Dragon gang, Sally Chen Sa Li.
During the film a Taoist monk uses mystical spells in order to turn a
fighter into a zombie warrior who is practically unstoppable. Compared
to many kung fu films available, this is a highly interesting movie
with excellent on location work and strong performances by the three
leads.

Review
The film begins with an agent,
a midget working with Interpol, who confronts gangsters. At one point
in the film, the agent is placed in a cage and must find his way out of
the situation.
The bad guys are so bad they are quite entertaining. Numerous special
effects are used to create a highly entertaining film including
self-destructing television sets and some choreographic moves by the
agent during the fight scenes.
There are also several scenes throughout the film which are quite
memorable and are sure to be remembered long after you have watched the
movie. If you are a martial arts fan this movie is an absolute must see.
This film has it all including a great lead, extortionist terrorists
and great fight scenes. The agent himself is completely cool, much like
Austin Powers, and always a hit with the ladies. He zooms around town
on a miniature motorcycle and manages to complete death defying moves.
(Webmaster aside - The
opening three minutes before the titles role are worth the price of
admission.)
