Title - Destroy All Planets Starring - Gamera, Kojiro Hongo, Toru Takatsuka, Kurl Crane Directed by - Kenji Yuasa Producer(s) - Hidemasa Nagata Screenwriter(s) - Fumi Takahashi
Review
In this highly entertaining film, a group of aliens have left their own planet and are headed for Earth. For some reason their intentions are less than honorable and they intend to capture Earth once they reach it.
Their plans go somewhat awry when their ship is destroyed during the voyage by a giant flying turtle named Gamera. (Reviewer aside - See, remeber what I said about Gamera in the review of Attack of the Monsters? In this film he is even given star billing. Does that mean Gamera is real?)
The aliens send out a second ship, which does manage to make it to Earth, where it is captured by a couple of Boy Scouts. A remote control is implanted into Gamera’s neck and they then use the giant turtle to attack Tokyo.
There is much for the entire family to love about this great film. Even younger viewers will likely find this film to be quite entertaining. The monster action in the film is handled quite well including a scene in which there is a space battle between a UFO and Gamera. If you are looking for a great film to enjoy with the whole family, this is it.

Title - The Astral Factor Starring - Robert Foxwood, Stephanie Powers, Sue Lyon, Mark Slade, Leslie Parrish, Elke Sommer, Frank Ashmore Directed by - John Florea Producer(s) - Earle Lyon Screenwriter(s) - Earle Lyon, Arthur C. Pierce
Review
This story starts with a convicted strangler, Roger Sands (portrayed by Frank Ashmore), who has been studying the paranormal from his jail cell. During his study he amazingly
learns to make himself become invisible. Through his new found skill he is able to
escape from prison. From that point he then stalks and attempts to strangle five women who testified against him during his trial.
A police lieutenant, portrayed by Robert Foxworth, is assigned to protect the women and catch the invisible strangler before he can kill again. Stefanie Powers portrays Candy Barrett, while Elke Sommer appears as Chris Hartman. Powers’ performance is particularly riveting.
Much of the film focuses on Sands’ maternal abandonment issues, which results
in his stalking of women who resemble his mother. There are numerous flashbacks
during the film of his mother and a cemetery scene that provide a lot of insight
into Sands and the issues that have led to his deviancy.
Special effects which are reminiscent of Star Trek lend interest and appeal. The stellar cast in this film will keep you strapped to your seat until the riveting end.

Title - Cosmos War of the Planets Starring - John Richardson, Yanti Somer, West Buchanan, Elly King, Kathy Christine Directed by - Al Bradley Producer(s) - Doro Vlado Hreljanovic, Louis Aless Screenwriter(s) - Al Bradley, Al Crydo
Review
In this film, which takes place in the future, all decisions are made by The
WIZ, which is a giant supercomputer.
A renegade space captain, Alex Hamilton (played by John Richardson), has been sent on what should have been a routine mission. However, everything goes awry when his ship is attacked by two alien space ships. After receiving orders from Earth, he lands his ship on the alien planet, which at first he believes to be deserted. A mysterious force soon attacks and kills one of his crew men.
The captain and the remainder of his men are then lured into a cave where they come in contact with what remains of the planet’s former inhabitants. The natives then inform the captain and his crew that they were forced out of control of the planet when machines they had built took over. After hearing of their plight, the captain agrees to help them by destroying the robotic mega computer.
Eventually it appears as though they may have found the secret to destroying the evil robot and are making their escape from the doomed planet. However, a surprising twist threatens to take them down with it.
If you are a fan of the first episodes of Star Trek and Lost in Space, you will
love this film.

Title - The Galaxy Invader Starring - Richard Ruxton, Faye Tilles, George Stover, Greg Dohlen, Anne Frith, Richard Dyszel Directed by - Don Dohlen Producer(s) - Don Dohlen Screenwriter(s) - Don Dohlen
Review
If you’re looking for a great sci-fi movie, this one delivers with a punch. We begin with an alien who is forced to crash land on earth. The crash is witnessed by a college kid who calls his professor to tell him what he saw.
Before the professor can arrive on the scene, the alien finds himself pursued by a group of rednecks who have dipped into the brew one time too many. The alien is eventually captured, but he manages to get away with some help from the college kid and his professor. Even without this interesting plot twist on the traditional sci-fi movie, this would be a fantastic movie worth watching.
This is an extremely entertaining movie complete with interesting special effects and dialogue that keeps you straining on the edge of your seat. When the meteor lands on earth, you will be amazed by the special effects used. Accompanying sound effects are also handled quite well and the music score is quite appropriate.
Character portrayals are also very nicely handled leading you to really experience the predicaments in which the characters find themselves.
(Webmaster aside - I think I overheard my little alien reviewer mumbling something about the alien in this movie looking more like a mummy than any aliens he knew.)
